Carrum Downs SCQuilters

Handwork from Helen
After a short gap, the Carrum Downs group blog is underway again, with details of their May and July meetings.

In May they held their Biggest Morning Tea, to raise money for Ovarian Cancer.

July included a Big O morning tea for those members celebrating significant birthday. Lots of interesting hand work going on, plus fabulous show and tell.

More information and images on their blog.

July at the Blue Gum

Quilting by Marianne
Sydney SCQuilters had a small group this month but there was the usual mix of chat, great food and quilts.

As usual, there was a great range of handwork on show - as well as hand quilting, members were embroidering, appliqueing, hand piecing, making hexagons, knitting and crochet. Not to mention some fabulous show and tell.

For details see the Sydney SCQuilters blog.

Stitching Our Stories, Moonee Ponds, Victoria

Stitching Our Stories exhibition is on at the Moonee Ponds Primary School Sports Centre, Wilson Street.  Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Hand made items by the members for sale at our La Bobine boutique as well as three shops in attendance.

Kim from L'uccello will be attending tomorrow to award the prize for the winner of the Dolls Quilt Challenge, at 11am, the time that the exhibition officially opens.

As well as members quilts, we also have the Challenge Quilts with our USA sister group in Chatauqua.
